Own large parts of the product and infrastructure while Cognitia is still being shaped.
This is not a role where you join a finished platform and pick tickets from a backlog. You will work directly with the founders on the memory graph, ingestion pipelines, MCP/API distribution, and the surfaces people use to inspect and query their memory. Scope is wide, decisions are real, and what you ship will define the company.
You might work on
Core memory graph architecture, retrieval, and supersession
Cross-ecosystem ingestion across email, calendar, files, finance, social, and devices
MCP and API surfaces for connecting Cognitia memory to external AI tools
Memory Explorer, chat grounding, and developer-facing product flows
Auth, permissions, marketplace consent, and data-ownership controls
Infra, reliability, and internal tools that help a tiny team move faster
Probably a good fit if you
Have shipped production systems end to end, not just prototypes
Are strong in TypeScript and comfortable in Python
Care about product taste as much as system design
Want early ownership, equity, and direct founder collaboration
Can handle ambiguity and still ship
Are interested in personal AI, memory, and portable context
Who it’s not for
This is probably not a good fit if you want a narrowly scoped IC lane, a large existing team to absorb ambiguity, or a role where strategy is decided elsewhere. We need someone who can invent the work and execute it.
The goal
Help establish Cognitia as the cross-ecosystem memory layer people actually own — with real architecture, real product, and a founding imprint on how the company builds.
Stack
TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Python, Postgres, LLM APIs, MCP, cloud infra, and whatever else we need.
