Cognitia is a cross-ecosystem personal memory layer you own. It turns fragmented data from email, calendar, files, finance, social, messaging, and devices into a structured, inspectable memory graph — with provenance on facts — that you can use in Cognitia’s surfaces or take to other AI tools via MCP/API. The product is the graph, not another chat wrapper.

Cognitia is not competing to be the best chat UI, the best base model, enterprise search, or a hardware lifelog. Built-in chat and Memory Explorer are ways to interact with and inspect your memory; they are surfaces. The asset is the portable graph you control.

Platform assistants keep context inside their own silo. Cognitia is a user-owned memory layer across ecosystems (Google, Microsoft, Apple, finance, social, messaging, and more), with an inspectable graph, source provenance, supersession when facts change, and portable access via MCP so Claude, Cursor, or other clients can use the same memory with your consent. When you connect sources (or import chat backups), Cognitia ingests and structures entities, temporal facts, behavioral signals, and multimodal identity (faces, voices, images where enabled) into a bi-temporal knowledge graph (MAGMA). Facts can supersede on contradiction; you can inspect timelines and provenance in Memory Explorer, and grounded answers can show Agent Replay — the entities, facts, and sources used. Semantic retrieval complements the graph so memory is usable soon after connect while synthesis continues.

No. Cognitia does not use your personal data to create, train, improve, or fine-tune AI models. Personalization and memory features use your data to operate the Services for your account. Third-party model providers that power inference are contractually restricted from training their foundation models on your data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Your memory is treated as a user-facing asset: you choose which sources to connect, can disconnect them, and can review, edit, or delete memory through product controls. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Integrations use industry-standard OAuth where applicable; financial linking goes through Plaid. You can revoke MCP client access anytime. Supported paths include email (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud Mail), calendar (Google and Outlook — typically with email), cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox), finance (Plaid), social (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram), local device / Desktop Companion capabilities, chat backup uploads (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, WeChat, and LINE), and MCP & backups (external MCP servers and ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini imports). Browser automation and web search are available without a separate integration setup. Availability can vary by plan — check Pricing and the in-app sidebar for what your account can enable.

Memory Explorer (Data Platform) is how you see and govern your graph: entities, fact timelines, behavioral signals, multimodal identity, and source provenance — including viewing memory as of a past date. You can edit, delete, or export layers. It is the inspect surface for the asset, not a separate product.

The Memory Brief is a periodic digest of meaningful changes, facts that became untrue (with sources so you can confirm or restore them in the Audit Log), and contradictions in your graph (for example weekly), delivered in-app and optionally by email or push when configured. It turns memory from pull-only into a retention habit. Empty weeks and inactive accounts are skipped so you are not spammed.

Memory Cards are user-approved, citeable projections of who you are / what you are working on — for intros, LinkedIn, or agents — without opening your full graph. You draft and edit the card, share a public link while it is live, and revoke anytime. They are consent-scoped shares, not a dump of raw sources.

Connect Cognitia as an MCP server (or use the API). After OAuth consent, compatible clients can call memory tools under the scopes you approve. You can revoke connected apps anytime. This is the power-user wedge: bring your graph to the AI you already use. Start from For Developers or MCP & API product pages; directory listings (e.g. mcpservers.org) point at the same surface.

The Desktop Companion pairs your computer with Cognitia so cloud memory can use on-device capabilities (files, screen/camera where permitted, notifications, and live Chrome reads of apps without official APIs such as Instagram or WhatsApp). Live scrape can be ephemeral for chat; Sync to Memory can store on a schedule (or higher freshness on paid plans). Download and pair from Local Device in the product sidebar.

Subscriptions fund graph storage, retrieval, and MCP usage. Plans allocate monthly credits for model messages, tool calls, and related AI work; stronger models and heavier tools cost more credits. Exact tiers, prices, and feature gates are on the Pricing page and in Account settings — those pages are the source of truth, not third-party reviews. Cancel anytime from Account; you keep the plan until the end of the billing period, then revert to free while your data and connections remain unless you delete them.

Cognitia routes work across multiple third-party models depending on the task and your plan (chat, extraction, background jobs). The live model set and tier access are shown in product and on Pricing — they change over time. Prefer those surfaces over outdated blog or affiliate claims.

Yes. A server-side browser agent can navigate sites, fill forms, and complete multi-step flows without a required browser extension. Cognitia can also generate common document formats (e.g. spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, CSV) for download or upload to connected cloud storage. These are assistant capabilities on top of your memory layer.

Cognitia’s longer-term vision includes optional monetization of consented insights: businesses may access anonymized patterns or request personalized data only with explicit user approval. Users own the substrate. Marketplace participation is optional and permissioned — it is not the default for personal memory use. Businesses interested in access can contact us from For Businesses. Disconnect any integration from the product sidebar. Use Memory Explorer and account/settings flows to edit or remove memory layers and revoke MCP clients.
